This site is intended to be a celebration of the Goddess in all her forms, from creation to today. It is, however, an awful lot of work, and I thank you for your patience. Please see my sources page for a complete bibliography. As with all unofficial sites on the internet, everything here should be taken with a grain of salt. This site is a task I have set myself out of love, but I am no historian or cultural expert.

Thank you for visiting,
Katyberry

A note to my visitors:
I'm sorry to say that I haven't had the time to keep up with my websites and emails of late. Therefore I will make it official. I will be on haitus (not available for questions or comments) for an unknown period of time. I will leave the site as it is, with all of the helpful information available. When I eventually return, I will probably have a new email, due to the insane amount of spam I've been getting. Thanks to all of you who've sent me notes through the years. Please Note: I will not be answering emails. If you need to get in touch with me, please use the guestbook. I check it about once a month, because I need to approve the entries for them to show. Blessed Be.

This site is -UNDER CONSTRUCTION- but a few areas are available.

Mythologies

Someday, I will have the funds to go on one of the trips described below. Until then, I am only too happy to direct other spiritual searchers to a retreat that sounds simply divine.

Portals to the Self: A Women's Circle by the Sea Isla Mujeres, Mexico, February 4-11, 2006

Mayan Moon Magic: A Sacred Journey with Ixchel Tulum Beach, Mexico, March 11-18, 2006

Ceci McDonnell LISW and Karen Rosenberg, LISW, experienced therapists and guides, are offering two retreats for women in 2006. The February retreat is on Isla Mujeres, Isle of Women, in the Caribbean Sea, historically a place for healing rituals among the Mayan peoples. The March retreat is on the Tulum Beach on the Yucatan coast, near the ancient Mayan sites of Tulum and Coba.

Storytelling, guided imagery, yoga, journaling and journeys to ancient Mayan sites will serve as forms for accessing our psyche's depths. Both retreats are held in places sacred to Ixchel, the Mayan Moon Goddess, inviting women to gather for a time of retreat and replenishment. Together, we will create a circle of abundance, compassion and support as we weave together our stories and wisdom, becoming midwives of our dreams and visions.

Participants will stay in an intimate, informal hotel on the beach where landscaped trails, tropical gardens with hammocks hidden away and the beauty of the ocean will provide a perfect abode for the retreat. Space is limited.

Remember that each of us carries a Goddess within.
Respect her by respecting yourself.
